La Colonia is a 10 minute drive from Artá, a town in which you will find a wide range of restaurants and shops, as well as a beautiful historic centre. You shouldn’t miss the market on Tuesdays, which is considered to be on of the most important on the island. The market day for La Colonia is Saturday. Local festivities in La Colonia are Sant Antoni (January 17th) and Sant Pere (June 29th).
